Interesting...according to the article RackSpace currently has about 6,000 servers...

oh my. i can guarantee a salesperson at HP started voluntarily cleaning out their desk today.
"We could not get the attention we wanted from Compaq, whereas Dell was more aggressive...and attentive to our questions," said Morris Miller, managing director and co-founder at Rackspace. The company has a mix of about 6,000 servers from different manufacturers.

Heh, I hope that HP salesperson you are talking about is not working in a high floor of som etall building with glass all around :D

:eek: Dell do make very nice servers....
I don't like using than customer config on there site .... 7U server with Eight Xeon processors , 64GB RAM , 4 x 73GB SCSI :eek:
