Hi,
I stay in India and offer hosting to my customers as a part of my services. I currently host with KnownHost (which by the way has been an excellent experience for me so far). I host 10 domains with them, and am planning to increase it to about 20 in the coming year.

I am thinking of going for a WHMCS or ClientExec license and can't make up which is better for me.

My clients don't pay online (all local clients), they either pay by check or by EFT, so I don't need gateway integration at present. However pricing is in INR and I need to be able to set the currency and pricing in INR. The template customization is also important to me, but it is ok if it is limited to changing the logo and basic templating.

Do you think going for a billing software makes sense with these conditions? If so, which do you recommend? I went to both the demo sites and found ClientExec easier to use but have read great reviews about WHMCS too.

Thanks in advance.

We too dont accept payments online. We sell hosting only in Bangladesh and clients directly pay visiting our office.

We still use WHMCS and works great for us. A billing software is not only meant to take care of automated gateway payment stuffs, its great for manageing clients and server accounts too.

If your bisiness is serious to you, I dont feel you will go wrong going with WHMCS :)

I'm using clientexec right now but plan to move to whmcs. I think whmcs has better features.

I live in India too. I am using WHMCS, for the past... I don't know. A really long time to be honest. Works a treat!

You can modify it inside out and include your own modifications (Ive included RTG bandwidth graph and remote reboot for dedicated server customers) into the template.

Works even better if you have Kayako eSupport (also an Indian company - I think).

Hi all,
Thanks a ton for your inputs. I think I will go with WHMCS :)
Transbeam-nick - ubersmith looks promising, but unfortunately my host does not offer ubersmith. I'll keep track of it for future though.

You can accept orders by a form mailer script and can track the accounts by a calender software, too.
