I have just set up my authorize.net account and am about ready to go live with it, but I am not sure how to set it up for recurring billing. Can anyone give me a hint on how to do this in Authorize.net's user menu?

Unless I am missing something, I don't think Authorize.net does recurring billing. We accomplish it through our accounting/billing package and run a batch montly

OK thanks. But what is the 'Recurring Billing' in
'Settings', 'Payment Form / Receipt Settings','Payment Form / Weblink Field Settings' and also 'Settings', 'Payment Form / Receipt Settings', 'Virtual Terminal Field Settings'? I was hoping there was a way to use this. I have never used any form of Authorize.net and am struggling with this part. Everything else is working fine in test mode anyways.

What exactly you mean by recurring?

I had hoped to have Authorize.net automatically charge the customer's credit card each month. But I found I need something similar to Modernbill or another script to submit the charge.

you might want to either print out their .pdf files and read them to see if they will explain to you what the settings are. Or if that doesn't help - call authorize.net in the morning and ask. They have been really good at answering questions and making sure everything is working correctly.
