View Full Version : EARHost again
tazd9t9 08-25-2002, 07:16 PM Ok so i have only 2 clients on my earhost account right now..........I just got a complaint, cpanel is down it says the licence has expired
Live help is offline and posting seems to have been banned in the forum
What the hell is going on?
AHDOnline 08-25-2002, 07:25 PM I just tried my cpanel, and had a client try it and they are not having any trouble. I went over to earhost forum and had no trouble posting.
I know that doesn't help you much, but everything seems fine for me..
UH-Matt 08-25-2002, 07:28 PM scrap what i said :)
modihost 08-25-2002, 07:28 PM uuuuhhhh ooooo
The Prohacker 08-25-2002, 07:29 PM This wouldn't be a first time for Timmah to have an invaild license file :D
noemie 08-25-2002, 07:29 PM jus PM tim, he's prolly out but he checks hee often right?
TimPD 08-25-2002, 07:31 PM Posting isn't banned on our forum... We're working on the issue to see what is wrong with the Data Center (Provider).
noemie 08-25-2002, 07:32 PM nm
tazd9t9 08-25-2002, 07:33 PM I did pm tim i didnt see him online first.
I just wondering why an invalid licence or an expired one as whm says is the data centres problem?
Surely it means u need 2 get a new licence?
noemie 08-25-2002, 07:36 PM ahh, so now I get to witness one of these complaints about Tim I've heard so much about.
tazd9t9 08-25-2002, 07:37 PM my complaint isnt against tim, id prolly go to james if he were online ..........and im not accusing tim of anything, or at least not trying to. I just want to know whats going on as i have customers complaining and a message saying the cpanel licence is invalid does not look good for me
Vortech 08-25-2002, 07:56 PM Did you not pay that bill tim.. :)
TimPD 08-25-2002, 07:57 PM The license is provided by the Provider therefore we have to discuss this with them.
dandanfirema 08-25-2002, 07:57 PM
okihost 08-25-2002, 08:09 PM gets the popcorn ready.. :stickout
tazd9t9 08-25-2002, 08:09 PM Chicken or any other mod, its being sorted now, can ya close this thread pls
noemie 08-25-2002, 08:17 PM grr :: was just getting settles in with her popcorn ::
tazd9t9 08-25-2002, 08:24 PM noemie if it isnt sorted quickly i will be back and u can have ur popcorn then............for now i think ill wait and see and let this get closed b4 it becomes a flame war like yesterday
MilkMan 08-25-2002, 09:16 PM Woohoo, more drama to watch, better than ER
noemie 08-25-2002, 09:26 PM flame wars occur when someone is consistantly being made fun of and with out a purpose.
But after browsing the forums for the past few days, it's gotta be something wrong with Earhost. I don't think I'm being out of line if I want to stick around and watch, like anyone else.
(( and these flame wars are nothing compared to some of the other Message Boards I go to ))
Andrew 08-25-2002, 09:41 PM Well, once in a while DarkOrb does mess up when they delete IPs from their license server. Happened to us a couple months ago.
It's ironic, considering Timmy's past with Cpanel, but not necessarily his fault. :)
pgrote 08-25-2002, 10:23 PM At least Vibe Host (http://www.vibehost.com/) is up. :)

What do they have to do with this?
pgrote 08-25-2002, 10:40 PM Before I answer I'd like it noted for the record that Tim has been given advice several times on how to handle forum postings. Namely, don't respond.
Anyway, Tim, Vibe Host was the only customer of yours to defend you in the humongous thread from the other night. The problem is that when he posted his thread his site was down. Yes, it was highly ironic and in the context of this issue, funny.
Hence, the post, "At least Vibe Host is up" could be seen to some people as humorous or even, dare I say, witty.
TheMMIz 08-25-2002, 11:20 PM The CPanel license still seems to be having problems. This has happened with the best of hosts, so I cant necessarily say its a specific EARHost/TimPD problem, but Tim doesn't have the best reputation with CPanel licenses, heck, Tim plain out doesn't have a good reputation.
Hopefully they can get things worked out, until then the whole anti-tim group can go crazy.

If you're a client PM me with your information :) I will give you more updates on this issue.
phpcoder 08-25-2002, 11:47 PM No offense, but you can't rely on your clients contacting you. That’s part of your job description.

daPrince 08-26-2002, 01:10 AM Hmm... maybe its only one of the licenses? I have a reseller account with them and its working fine. :) Probably just a small glitch :stickout
Samuel 08-26-2002, 01:12 AM Ive never seen as many problems with a host since I had a hosting account with hostrocket. Seriously Tim, you should consider the McDonalds job you've been looking at.

Shawn White came pretty close though...
AntiSpamHosts 08-26-2002, 01:22 AM At least your customers wouldn't write 40+ complaints about you there.

HRBrendan 08-26-2002, 01:24 AM At least at McDonalds people realize that for $7 you get a cheeseburger and fries, not a 24/7/365 level 3 admin on call to answer every ticket about your cat's email not working within 38 seconds. As for your account with us samuel I dont remember the specifics of it, but if you'd like I'd gladly give a go at a 75 pager like timmy here has created. Im sure in your mind we host 10k of the unhappiest customers in the world vs. timmys 6 or so, so it would be an easy task.

If that happens, the end of WHT would be upon us.

I worked at McDonald's when I was 16. That was 17 years ago. It was excellent training and they worked you hard and your work needed to be spot on. It was a good training ground for work ethics etc. I hated working on fries, as this was close to the front counter. I was working there one night and a group of girls I knew came to the counter - I was trying to impress one - Here I am in my daggy uniform, apron and hat - it looked real impressive.

Ok, you lost me! Whats that got to do with anything? Why would a girl that bob had a thing for 17 years ago slap him in the face? Perhaps you got slaped in the face for not providing a service Tim? or for trying to? :P
Samuel 08-26-2002, 02:24 AM Haze hahaha
