Hi,
I have to find a host for a very small site.
I don't need hardly any options like, cgi, mysql, or php.
I don't need much disk space or bandwidth either.
What I do need though is a static IP address and most of the cheap hosts don't offer this. I went to hostsearch.com & clamins.com, but they don't have the option to search for only hosts with static IPs. Does anyone have any recommendations of cheap hosts with static IPs?
How cheap are you looking for?

under $7, anything above I rather just get another hostrocket account
Have you checked out http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3053
You may find what you are looking for by checking out these hosts.

Shimmy, for host under $7 I would always recommend http://www.5dollarhosting.com. Just in case your site gets bigger and more hits, you'll have the extra space and bandwidth you need for $5/month.
And as I've always stated, I was a very satisfied client who's site just exceeded their limitations in bandwidth (10GB). Their customer support is great and I never had any problems with this host.
Check them out and see if they are sufficient for your basic host.

Hi,
I looked at 5dollarhosting before, but they say nothing about static IPs, is one included?

shimmy,
WeinBar Communications (check out WeinBar's sig above) has their yearly special plan @ $49.99 and it does include a static IP. Since Michael is can't advertise for himself, I'll point you in his direction ;)

Yes, 5dollarhosting does have static IP. I had one when I signed up but I don't know if things have change since a couple of months ago when I left. Try and e-mail them and ask to make sure.

Nope, nothing's changed! Thanks for the kind words by the way.
All accounts get their own static IP.
By all means, send us an email if there is anything you want to know.
Thanks!
