here is a question interesting
Yes you can, and there are many ways to do it. Probably the best way to start is to visit this site:
http://java.apache.org/
and you can Java Servlet to your heart's content:
Java Longtemps De phase Servlets!

Interestingly babel fish is case sensitive:
Long Live Java Servlets! -> Java Longtemps De phase Servlets!
Long live java servlets! -> Servlets longtemps de phase de Java!
french handles posessives differently then english so babel mistakes capitalized letters for names and untranslatable slang, junk, etc
(by the way voila une question interresant means here is an interesting question.)

Simplest way to do , is to put Apache mod jserv .
you will be able to download it from java.apache.org
It is the most easiest to configure if you want to run just servlets on linux, and it is free also
But that supports onlu servlet 2.0 , if u need 2.1 and above then use tomcat or resin , Tomcat is not so easy to configure and resin costs 500 usd to put on production server.
Apache jserv will just give servlets whereas others will give servlets and jsp.
If you will need to put jsp pn top of apache jserv then you will have to use gnujsp from http://www.klomp.org/gnujsp . I am still trying to figure out how to do the gnujsp thing.
We use jserv for 4-5 of our sites and has been working very well for 3 months now.

And apparently it doesn't understand the words java and servlet either, because both "translations" are wrong :)
