I will never forget the day I had three of my wisdom teeth removed. My face was so bruised and sore, I always said to myself if I saw that dentist in the street I'd....

I feel your pain! Hope you're on the mend soon. I went through that last year and ate soup with a straw for three days.

Hint: A little ice goes a long way. Good luck!

I woke up in the middle of mine, I looked at the doctor, the doctor looked back, everything went back to black...

Hehe, that rhymes. :)

Ouch.

Fortunately I've never had any of my wisdom teeth removed. I had a new one pop through recently which was painful - but it's fine now (luckily) :)

I've never had mine out, but my sister has and after seeing what she went through, I hope I don't need them out. :(

Ah about 8 months or so ago I had all 4 of mine pulled. I've never had anasthesia or any type of surgery at all so I'll admit I was a big wuss and scared about it. Had it done and I'm told after I woke up I stood up and started dancing around, I guess I was so excited it was over and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I remember I wasn't supposed to drive or anything the rest of the day of course, but I remember I got in my truck and went somewhere and was spitting blood all over the place.

Ended up having no pain at all after getting it done, and my teeth had been hurting awhile so it was great.

Oh you wimps! I have had a couple of tiny cavities filled.....as well as had a front tooth repaired after it got broke in half in a tackle football game (without gear). That meant a root canal and a small metal brace in my gums to hold it in. I have had a broken leg from an accident, and a fractured arm from when an engine fell on it cuz the chain broke while pulling it out of the car...

I never have used any sort of pain killer. I always refused it, even as a kid. You get an extremely high pain tolerance when you do that. Well, I take it back...I came down with cat-scratch one time, and I drank everclear to numb my stomach.

A real man takes the pain and deals with it :D

Try juices or some crushed fruits that you don't have to open your jaws too much.
