Ok so the price says 99cents, but is that just for the 1st year, and then they are going to lock you into paying like $10 or so after that? Does anyone know, I was unable to find any info on this.

Yes, you would have to pay the normal registration fee (usually around 10 bucks) every year after the first.

They don't lock you into paying $10, just make sure you don't select Auto renewal and you are free to do what you like with it.
