The API is bad.
The system is buggy.

Used them over a year, wasn't happy.

I had a reseller account set up but never use it.
I think the system is good for you to login and register service directly.
Support response time was within 24 hours.

SO would they be good for manual processing of SSL certs? I already use OpenSRS for certs but they don't offer RapidSSL (Just in case a customer doesn't want to pay for QuickSSL).

Rameen isn't kidding, infact that seems to be even an understatement. I'd recommend getting an eNom or DirectI account over them any day.

The payment system is terrible, the support is quite slow, and The Planet just doesn't seem to care.

Why not just a reseller account with enom and you will be able to resell ssl certificates. Pricing in enom is not bad as well and support is pretty good.
