I want to install cold fusion server on a cobalt box. Searching google revealed some interesting links. Also on the macromedia website you can download a standard linux package. However it is not clear to me wheter that is the client or the server software.
Also in the cobalt users list is a reference to a supported file by cobalt.
Anyone using cold fusion on a cobalt (raq4) ? If so any starters etc.
The only thing related to cobalt I can find is.
http://www.intermedia.net/support/coldfusion/cfdocs/Installing_and_Configuring_ColdFusion_Server/lininstall.html
Thanks for any pointers or howto's

I had a similar query recently which I posted in the technical board. There were some references in there to installing and running it on a RAQ

Well as far as I know there should be a cobalt specific package from macromedia however can't find it on the website there.

I recently installed ColdFusion MX on a RaQ4r. When I installed it on my box it killed Apache. Before you install ColdFusion make sure you copy your httpd.conf onto another computer then install ColdFusion. After you install CF open your httpd.conf in pico or vi and compare the two because on my install CF deleted some lines in the httpd.conf after you restore those lines based on your referanced httpd.conf you should be OK.

Did you try installing it as root ??
What specific error messages did you get ?
I installed the trial/lite version of cold fusion and no problems installing here. But there should be a pkg available from macromedia but I can't seem to find it.
Also the licensing is very hard to understand. I don't know what we have to pay.
