Hi all. I've been lurking here for a while and thought now is a good time to post. I am looking at the Super Special plan HostWorkz are currently offering and would like to know any feedback anyone has who is/was with them. Thanks!

I have a free account there (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48426&highlight=hostworkz) and they are good :)

I didn't experienced any downtime since I have the account.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Does anyone else have any comments on this host? So far from what I've read it's been positive feedback.

One of my sites are with Hostworkz and I have no complaints about the service they provide. So far I've not had a problem with the site.

Their website has promised that Shared SSL is coming for several months, and they still don't have it. Pre-sales question took approx 8 hours.

and your point is? although i don't know why the shared sll is not available (never really asked them, probably because i do not require it for my website), an 8 hour pre-sales response time is reasonable in my opinion. and no chris, i do not work for them, i'm only hosted with them.

if i sent a pre-sales email to a webhost and i never received a reply or the reply took longer than 24 hours, then i'd begin to raise my red flag.

just my 2 cents.

I was just sharing my findings without an opinion. You want my opinion? No problem. The 8 hour response time was reasonable. The months of promising shared SSL was not.

Hmm. Seems if they promised SSL they should already have it. The respond time is not bad could have been better.

The shared SSL certs are scheduled to be installed on our servers this week. We do apologize to anyone who has been waiting for this feature. Demand for it wasn't high until recently, so finally management have decided to give the go ahead for the installation of the shared SSL certs.

All clients will be notified once the shared SSL certs are operational.

I just checked out their web site and it looks like they now provide the shared SSL. That was quick Greg!

As for my experience with Hostworkz, I am a complete newbie to web sites and when I needed help from them with a poll CGI script I was trying to install, one of their support guys helped install and configure the script for me. They even told me where I went wrong when I tried to install it. That's what I call support!

Cheers,
Richie

correct. i received an email from them today, announcing the fact that they were now providing that shared sll feature. good to see you kept your word hostworkz -- even though i don't need shared sll. :stickout

It's amazing how quickly host fix things when they are put on TV here at WHT for the world to see. :)

Well, it looks to me like Hostworkz.com is a good host. I mean approx 8 hours on a sales email is much better than most hosts. And the Shared SSL, I understand. He kept his word, and sometimes those certificate places can give you a problem and cause a delay. Next time you may want to just let Chicken sign it. :)

Thank you people for the comments. I decided to take the plunge and sign up with them. They set up my account about an hour after I placed my order. So far, so good. I will let you know my thoughts on HostWorkz in a few months time.
