I've checked from time-to-time deleteddomains.com to see if there are any gems of domain names out there. Most of the time I find nothing but thjsi.com domains. I have no idea what I will do with this one but today I found, and registered, ninepc.com. When I saw it, somehow it just caught my attention. Maybe it'll develop into something someday... :)

Just thought I'd confirm what others already know about deleteddomains.com.

uhm, good catch... I guess

Well, that's why I only register most domains for a year the first time. If they bomb out, I won't have to worry about them for that long and it didn't cost much. I try not to get too many bombs but I have a few that I'm just waiting to let cancel. I guess the biggest thing that caught my attention with the domain I grabbed was the length. Okay, not that big of a deal but easy to remember and not extremely long. Again, we'll see what happens... :)

deleteddomains.com is for a domain addict like a liquor store is for an alcoholic. I always resist the urge to go there, but when I do I walk away with domains. :-(

Hehe. Me too! I like going there from time to time. I have found some very GOOD names there. But I didn't get them because I didn't need them. So very tempting though.

Good for you. You got your fix!

I have keywords that I check each week and if I find something that is, "Too good to pass up" I get it.

Then the CFO, read wife, kicks my rear.

deleted domains definatly like alcohol for 12 stepper. surprised they dont give (first one free)

but i have found some good ones there however most have been grabbed prior to getting there at least any that pop up on link analysis typein analysis or dictionary words.

Those need agressive drop catching and real timley lists of pre drop names

great article for the domainaholic

I'm not that interested in domain names but it's interesting to see that during the last 60 days over 2000 domain names with the word "host" became availalbe.

Yay, 2000 less competitors.

The name that caught my attention was adoptahost.com :D

There are many at domainnames at deleteddomains and it's really good site to go to. Good you got ninepc.com sitename. Try out selling nine pcs on it.

markblair

But then what happens when I sell a PC? Should I then get eightpc.com? :D Again, seriously, I could do something worthwhile with the site. Sometimes the best ideas come from a simple name that nobody else thought could be worth anything. I know many people, including many on this forum, have registered domains then later thought to themselves, what was I thinking. If that happens, I lost $14.95. If it doesn't, I'm pretty sure I gained a ton more.

There is a thought that Google will rank your site higher if your domain name has what you're selling or doing in it. Who knows.

xxxhost.com was there the other day, tried registering it and they got it already, that would have been a SCORE

well, deleteddomains are a bit slow, mostly, all cool names are already registered before they update their DB.

I had a bunch of success with DD - I picked up t2k.net there the day or a few days after it expired and the next week sold it for $400 as an abreviation for a company (they called my home to talk negotiation)

Also picked up OriolesTickets.com & OriolesBaseball.com the same day, sold oriolesTickets.com and amazingly enough I'm an orioles baseball fan so I'm going to make a fan site on oriolesbaseball.com. :)

could be very profitable as both a hosting site or a mysqlphp resource..

good search engine positioning possibility with that domainname..

Anybody know of any automated tools for searching deleteddomains.com based on keywords? I would rather click a button once a day and look at one list then type in the 20 keywords I look for day after day.............I have a client who had an automated system built that looks up newly deleted domains, checks their link popularity, and then buys them if link popularity > x. I thought that was pretty cool.

Build on NinePC.com, generate traffic & link's inbound. It'll have far greater resale value with traffic, links & revenue. GoodLuck! I also have snag'd a few 'cool drops' from DeletedDomains.. such as CoolDrops.com "-)

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already got a few ideas and plan to do something for sure. My business partner is making plans as well so it could be a good thing. Like I said previously, it is worth the loss of $14.95 for a possibility of making much more. Of course I can't take too many of these chances as I'm married and well, justifying additional domains is getting harder. :)

No match for "FIVEPC.COM".
No match for "TWOPC.COM".

Maybe someone wants that :)
