I have two servers running linux and Cpanel.

I have one account that I just opened that has an odd email problem.

All of the POP3 email accounts require that you put in the whole email address as the user name.

We have two NT servers and they are set up that way but this is the first time I have seen a cpanel account do this.

This is not webmail...... POP3!

Has any one seen this porblem?

It happens when you the virtual host doesn't have a dedicated IP.

Thanks for the post but this is not the case with this one. This is one of my resellers accounts but the resellers account has it own IP address.

Ok...... More Oddness!

If I use the domain's IP address as the mail server then it will let me use only the user name.

The domain is a networksolutions's domain but it is set up right.

Well...... My support people found the problem!

It was a miss configuration in the "domainips" file. They added the IP for the domain and the email problem went away!

BobCares did it again!
