What is a good, free office suit for linux?

KDE comes with Koffice. I just started using it, and it works well for word processing.

Staroffice is now not available for free download anymore. Openoffice is another alternative, but I don't know much about it.

I am messing around with mandrake right now, and i think it is hard to get things configured. I think i am going to stick with redhat because it is easier for me to manipulate and find the right packages.

openoffice is pretty good - I actually prefer it to Star Office.
KOffice is ok as well - not as flashy as the others in my opinion. Gets the job done though.

OpenOffice is good for linux. It is easier to use too.

www.openoffice.org is the free version of Star Office (sans some components due to licensing), so not that much difference?

yes pretty much. I just prefer open office's look though. :)
