akashik 08-23-2002, 03:34 AM I just installed a second hard drive on this computer so Windows is shiny fresh at the moment... should end up cluttered again before long.
Planning my Linux install for the second (old) drive - currently D:\
I was reading a review of Gnome2 last night actually. Seems they have a bit to go till it's as good as KDE though. :)

I love my TrueLaunch bar though. Which is what I left expanded.
All those icons expand like that. I never go to Start>Programs>SomthingElse :D

modihost 08-23-2002, 10:56 AM LMFAO @ Lats
My windows desktop get out of hand like that too. I like Windows to look and feel simple, no bubble themes for me. i like to dres up Gnome/KDE alot
modihost 08-23-2002, 11:00 AM akashik
I was trying MDK beta 9.0.
So not to be bias I tried Gnome 2.0 FIRST. I thought it was amazing but then when I tried KDE 3.x I was disappointed. KDE is so much easier to use/configure. Everything is much easer to find. It is light years ahead of gone

modihost 08-23-2002, 05:13 PM DigiCrime
Both Gnome and KDE come with "screen capture" programs. pm me if you need more help. At least mandrake ships both with screen capture programs

I would take winamp back a few songs and play the Coldplay ones again :)
The "TODO" list is commendable, although I keep a hard copy of mine... :D

XTStrike 08-24-2002, 08:18 AM chance to see how hectic a mods desktop is !!

mdrussell 08-24-2002, 08:20 AM Now this is weird. WHT must have a crystal ball, it emailed before xtstrike to tell me he would post!
mdrussell 08-24-2002, 08:23 AM xtstrike, i'd look into a new graphics card or monitor, you seem to have a few black areas :D
XTStrike 08-24-2002, 08:38 AM yeah, it is irritating, its what happens when your monitor/graphics card get so much abuse from unruly members, it starts to just automatically put anything relating to a WHT member into a little black hole. :D
