Hi Guys,
Could anyone offer advice on how to acquire a seemingly unused domain name, where the owners are unresponsive and/or uncontactable?
Aside from waiting for the domain to expire what choices do we have?
I've already sent an email to the ISP hosting the domain, and they have forwarded it onto the owners, but we're still yet to receive any response.
Any help really appreciated.

Are there any phones in Whois page dfor that domain name?
I think that you can also wait to avoid increasing price for that domain name.
You don't have many options left if they are unresponsive and/or uncontactable. If the domain is registered at GoDaddy you could report the whois info as being incorrect.

However, there's no rule that requires that a domain owner answer the phone versus allowing the caller to leave a message. Just as there's no rule that a domain owner answer an email, even if it involves abuse or SPAM, and certainly no requirement to answer a sales request.
What does 'seemingly unused' mean?

If the registrant chooses not to respond there is not much you can do except make him an offer he can't refuse. Depending on the name - make an offer of $1,000-$10,000. Don't low ball.

If the owner doesn't want to be contacted, perhaps it's better to just leave him or her alone.

True. But we know that GoDaddy are aggressive with false whois info. They will take the domain (familyalbum.com for example). so you could backorder it at GoDaddy and then make the complaint to them.

True ;)
