I'll have to say "other" on this one. I like the simplicity of mcedit ... If I need to get deeper than I'd probably use Vi but for the majority of tasks mcedit is my preference.

Vi was the first thing I ever tried and I use it only, but I think it's mostly out of habit.

I use pico, but I know enough vi to edit system config files if pico is not installed. :) Emacs should be banished, there's enough in that thing to make an OS out of it! :D

I use pico all the time here.

But, like mind said - I know how to use vi just in case pico isn't installed :)

I often use joe (mainly because it's already heavily customized for my fingers on my Linux box), although I can survive with vi if joe is not available (vi being the editor I first started with on Unix).

emacs is pretty much an OS. I saw a web browser that ran on it.
