Very nice offer !!!
not to mention that this IP is at 3 hops of my server ..eheh
1 fa12-0.medusa.dragon.com (209.124.64.2) 0.617 ms 0.561 ms 0.348 ms
2 atl1-ag2.globalcompass.com (66.154.80.37) 0.433 ms 0.524 ms 0.513 ms
3 66.154.89.13 (66.154.89.13) 1.397 ms 0.697 ms 0.545 ms

btw, globalcompass is okey :)

but your uptime guarantee for the multihomed is low... 99.5 .. is a lot of downtime ;)

Can I order the server without CPanel/H-Sphere? What will be the price in that case?

StarGate

Very nice offer indeed and bandwith looks very good also :agree:

<<Edit/Supplement>>>

but your uptime guarantee for the multihomed is low... 99.5 .. is a lot of downtime

I disagree. The 99.5% statement is rather HONEST then anything else. The old "trick" to offer 100% uptime and then count on people beeing to lazy to keep track of 2-5$ of compensation according to their SLA IF they even have one is stupid... sorry but I believe them when they say 99.5% cause it sounds honest and realistic ;)

cascompany

Yeah, sure, it looks honest :)

anyway 99.5%, has to be something of globalcompass, as I'm with them too, and have that 0.5% of possible downtime too ;) (~4 Hs/month)
I had one 40 min. downtime (not programmed) ... one ~30 min. downtime (programmed) ... and some 5 min. downtimes... in the last 40 days...
and still on ~ 99.8% of uptime ...

anyway, great offer ...
I want to buy one ... but I need to fill my other server first ... heh :stickout :D

Regards.

Are you directly with GC or a provider within? We've not experienced nearly that much downtime.

PVS - Without a control panel, we'll do $99.

I highly recommend Avity.

I've had a server with them for almost 3 months, I wouldn't have it any other way! :)

I've never experienced any downtime due to connection failures.

I 100% recommend them!

It was my understanding that H-Sphere requires "two" servers to run properly. Is that not so?

ckpeter

H-sphere can run on one server. The recommendation is to run it on multiple servers, but it is not required.

2 Servers is the min that it requires..

ckpeter

Really?

From http://psoft.net/h_sphere2_info.html#requirements

H-Sphere can be installed on any number of computers. It can even be installed on one box, but more is recommended.

Maybe Timothy could clear it up as he is definitely in a position to know.

Trying to answer everyone's questions:

Yes, H-Sphere runs fine on one server. Also, if you ever wish to add an additional server to an H-Sphere cluster, we can take care of it pretty painlessly.

Also, Cpanel is also available (we're a DarkOrb Partner NOC).

Anyone still waiting for a response, we're working through them. These servers take about 3 days or so on average to get setup.

PIIIs are no available, but we can upgrade to a P4 1.6 Ghz for an extra $25 monthly.

Cogent is not available.

Greetings,

A few questions:

To Timothy:

How much would it cost to expand the CPanel license to more domains in the future?

To others:

Would anybody here be interested in partnering up and leasing the server? The costs and the space/bandwidth would be divided between ourselves. If you're interestedm let me know by eMail (boris@mordkovich.net) or AIM (master99a)

Thanks,
Boris

Boris, cpanel is licensed on a per-server basis, so you can host unlimited domains on one server.

Also, you should search the forum archive for information on sharing servers (especially some by me). To put it simply, it isn't just about splitting costs and sharing resources - you have to plan a lot more in order to ensure that you "sharing" partnership would work.

Timothy,

can you tell me the following:

1. This is Multi-Hommed bandwidth right?
2. How much would it cost for 300GB of M-H Bandwidth
3. Are these systems new? What brand is the RAM/HD/Mobo
4. Do you have staff 24/7 at the NOC, so if a drive fails it can be replaced?
5. How much would it cost to upgrade to a 60GB 7200rpm drive and get a second 60GB drive for backup.
6. How much for an additional 512mb ram
7. Thank you.

:D
