hi,
i've decided that it'd be easier to go with a reseller plan rather than try to host seven domain names the other way.
so...one of the hosts i'm looking at uses plesk.
how hard is it to learn? i would my the reseller as well as the end user.

It is not that hard to learn.
Just go to plesk.com play with the demo they have. Have a look at the manuals.

It was the first control panel I used. I found that some functions are a bit burried in the menu system and the pages load a tad slow. However, I believe I picked it up very quick, you just need to make sure you check all the different option pages under each new site to make sure its fully setup. (email setup, user control panel is on, hosting permissions are right...etc) But I think learning its setup has given me problems when I try to understand H-Sphere.
Brief: Its real easy

ah...but i was reading about how difficult it is to setup a domain. you have to tell it something like physical, frame, or something else...and i don't if i'm going to have time to read all the docs and get this thing rolling properly.
all i really need at first is to have email rolling for my clients (i am hosting them on subdomains right now with forwards on their emails).
then i can worry about their website because they are all one and two page info sites.

Plesk is a breeze. It's text driven, so if you're used to Cpanel it takes some getting used to.
I didn't like the interface from the standpoint it doesn't auto refresh and doesn't confirm many things.
It's pretty simple, though.

I've tried out the Plesk demo several times, and never could find a file manager, so I guess it doesn't have one.
The pages load too slowly, and it's harder to navigate than C Panel. Then again, so is H Sphere and Ensim.

Thanks, I'll try looking for it again. 'Course I really don't need it, I have a site mgr that I wrote myself that I usually use anyway.
The navigation is a major concern, though. Except for C Panel, every control panel that I've checked out, you have to go thru something similar to a directory hierarchy, having to go thru several links to get to where you want to go. Maybe, the easy navigation is why C Panel is the most popular.
