Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or CMS's, (paid or open-sourced), that are good for multi-sites. I'm currently in discussions with several other web developers about developing a social network of like-minded sites. Such a network would ideally feature multiple sites either controlled from a single database/administration center, or at least with a significant amount of overlapping functionality, from user-logins/profile data to forums and classifieds, if possible. I was wondering if anyone knew of any CMS's that would be particularly adept at this? I know Drupal is supposed to feature multi-sites, but I'm unsure to what degree. We've also been looking into paid services such as Ning, but I'm a little concerned that beyond social networking, Ning's features and possibilities as a site are rather limited, (at least compared to Joomla, which is what I'm currently using). Does anyone have any experience, recommendations?
