Came across this one today and wondered if other commercial websites were using the .ws extension - know any?

From what I have seen it is a bit of a flop in terms of commercial sites.

I don't know of any personally and have only come across link/ad farms on .ws TLD's. That is only what I have only seen, so I wouldn't take that as a general representation.

I would hardly see it as a replacement for any of the others, nor even touch it IMO. .com / .net / .org / .co.uk etc, etc are far more well known.

My thinking too for commercial domains, however with so few options easily available I guess people will try to get the suitable domain in any extension.

Yes, exactly.

The "main" ones will soon be filled to the point that only cryptic domains are left. Its a shame really.

The only real way around this is to have some more commercially useable TLD's show up soon.

If the new ICANN boss has his way, we are going to be flooded with new domain .tld's in the next couple of years.
