Hey anyone hear about this new 1000TB HD from Quantum, I hear it uses atoms to store info instead of binary code.

Is this a rumor or fact?

Like everything else on the planet!

Sounds, to me like a rumour, thats a hell of a lot of data to loss if the drive dies!

Cheers

Wow. 1000tb of data. As isolsdotnet said think about if it fails! There would be no easy way to restore that much data.

You probably mean Maxtor. Never heard of Quaxtor.

Quantum and Maxtor are one company...Maxtor owns Quantum
Quantum+Maxtor=Quaxtor to me too
So stop picking on Samuel:beer:

Oh ya, my heart bleeds for poor Samuel who is clearly abused around these forums by everyone...I don't know how he puts up with it!

It's not about "everyone picking on Samuel" I could care less who does...it's about Marc starting up... it will just degenerate into another thread like yesterday......8 pages of crap

Umm, i was just stating that its Maxtor, not Quaxtor. Not sure why or how that could escalate into a fight. Lets everyone believe the drives are called Quaxtor then.

Are you serious, Marc??? It wasn't meant seriously..and I do believe you know that. I notice you don't correct anyone else who mispronounces anything... and after the crap with Sam the other day, I'd think you would have the common sense not to start with him. And I can't believe you couldn't figure out it was a merged name.(it was a joke)..just like it's a merged company....

All of my drives in the systems under my desk are Quantum drives, one of my friends is a realiability tester hired by quantum in the Milpitas facility in Fremont California.

Months ago Maxtor became involved in Quantum, and the joke that he told me was going around, is that the new company would be called Quaxtor.

Thanks Dr Chaos, Marc refuses to meet with me, and it's obvious that lightnin is an MCHost customer, or just general lacky.
