I think it was a perfectly decent name. Oh, well.

We have a football team here in Melbourne (Australia) called the Demons - not as bad as Satan I guess, but I have never even heard anyone say a thing about the name.

What if the team's name was The Bastards :D

High school teams here no longer will be known as the Satans, the school's nickname for nearly 80 years.

The school board unanimously voted Monday night to immediately drop the nickname and mascot and start the process of finding a new name to represent its athletic teams.


Perhaps they could change to "The Sunshine Kids"? :D

Eh... I really see nothign wrong with the name... before you know it my school will be forced to change from Blue Devils... :rolleyes:

I think even worse is how some schools are named "Saint" or some crap after religious mumbo jumbo. NOW those should be taken off!

I have nothing really against Microsoft.. But i have embraced the power of the penguin of freedom and it is good :)

Here in Texas we had a school with the "Fightin Coons". The school has recently changed mascots.
