The average pay for a web designer is 57000 a year.

Are you hiring a full time web designer?

Which planet are you from? Oh wait, that's 1999 data before the economy collapsed :D

Not saying we should not be making that much. But here in Florida the average is $35k for pure design to $45k - $50k tops for development/programming.

Florida pays in cents and sunshine, as Vortech can confirm :(

Im 55 miles from Silicon Valley, the numbers I posted are low =)

Samuel
08-22-2002, 01:50 AM
So, if I was to say

Eat Me! we are the best!

That would be good marketing? Tim?

Acroplex

Then that must be the Silcon Valley average (consider yourself lucky). It's not a national average by any means. Also, neigbour Seattle has been hit by IT unemployment severely. Finally let's not forget the high cost of living, crime, gas and taxes on the west coast.

Samuel
08-22-2002, 02:02 AM
But it's California =)

I love it, 2 hours from Snow, Beach, San Francisco, Santa Cruz

Perfect =), and 57 is just average here yes.

Excuse me.. but am I not the only one that saw in another thread that TimPD owes someone money for a design?

I'm not trying to cause trouble, but I'm just curious. It's sort of odd, when someone started a thread and TimPD owes them money for web design then he starts another thread..

Tim, you are under the age of 18.

I didn't see him kissing your ass, I see you ( a kid ) getting mad and handling it childishly.

Samuel

TimPD has shown to be slow to pay, doesn't think things out before hand, and has a bad temper =)

And can't write worth a damn!

Seems there is a lot of conflict involved with TimD. I am not aware of any fact. Feeling confused, since we need work, but these comments are making us feel very unsecure.

Who does the ratings? What are they based on? Top 50 on your street? In your state? In north america? Or just top 50 in your mind?

How would one apply to get on this top 50 list?

So your customers just tell you you are in the top 50 hosts they have been with? How many people have actually been with 50 hosts?

Synthetic

Maybe he means 50 different customers rated his service "the best."

this should n't be the attitude of a webhost.

So what if you can design a pretty looking site, I am also thinking of allowing you to design our site with us but please, if you would like for business to be strolling it, please change your attitude.

I do agree My attitude sux too but during business talks, i tend to not be of a bad attitude. Please speak in a polite manner that way you will not have any bad records and set everything right. I do not know whether what Vortech said about you not designing his site but was one of your designers whom you have not paid but instead of cursing and swearing, why not have a good explanation for the entire manner.

In that way, you save all the trouble for yourself.
