Hi there,

I'm wondering if someone can help me out with a problem I'm having - I can't seem to find any domain registration services that offer WHOIS ID protection for .co.uk domains? All the services which do offer the WhoIS protection services to put anonymous contact details in the Whois don't seem to do it with .co.uk domains.

I'm therefore wondering if anyone knows any good domain registration sites that can offer this kind of whois protection for .co.uk domains so that none of my personal information will appear in the WHOIS with my .co.uk domain?

Thanks for your time :)

I don't think it is allowed, that is why no one is offering it. ;)

I thought so... but I just wanted to see if there actually is anyone who still offers it for some reason or another :P

Anyone know of any?

Dont .uk domains have an opt out of whois option when you register them that's free? So id protection isnt needed.

.uk have opt-out for personal sites only - not business sites. If you put Adsense on your page it will be considered business. If someone contacts Nominet, complains about abuse, copyright etc.. and they deem the site "business" then they will unhide the registrant details.

The .uk Whois only includes names and addresses, no phone numbers or email addresses.

If you don't qualify for Whois opt-out but don't want your home address to appear in public then your best option is a PO Box - they cost about GBP 60 per year which should be reasonably affordable if you are making money from your domains.
