Can I use Xoops with liquidWeb shared host? The support from liquid web told me they think there should be no problem, but I want to be sure.
Xoops requires PHP and MySQL server software installed.
Also, before installation, I need to create a database for Xoops, is that a MySQL database? How do I create it for Xoops? The installation guide for Xoops does not give details about it.

You can host xoops with any webhost that supports php and mysql.

When it says "database for Xoops" it means a mysql database which you can create using their webhosting control panel.
