View Full Version : ipower web has no support
tboat 08-21-2002, 08:31 AM Not that you should expect a lot from something so cheap, but I've now sent three messages to their support group about a problem I've been having with my email account and have gotten no responses. Not even a "it's not our problem". I tried using their support email address and the form on the support page. I don't think it's too much to ask to acknowledge receipt of an issue. I was leary of the price so I signed up for a shorter stint and based on this experience I'm looking for a new host.
infrenion 08-21-2002, 09:13 AM I went to their website. I see that they have a 30day money back guarantee. Perhaps you could get a refund? Then you could start looking for a new host!
Geek3 08-21-2002, 10:36 AM tboat, i personally know IPowerWeb DOES follow through with their refunds.
I don't know exactly where you go or who you need to email, but they will give you a call back (perhaps within 3-5 days confirming your deletion and asking why you made the decision).
You'll get you're money back! :) Just please remember.. you do get what you pay for... it's something we all go through ALL throughout our lives (all is good!) :D just find a new host and move on.
ForumsAddict 08-21-2002, 10:42 AM I thought ipowerweb were good at it. May be you may give them some time or call them. Incase you are not satisfied, you may use your money back policy & search for a better host..:)
mdrussell 08-21-2002, 11:45 AM They are probably too busy spamming instead of handling support issues.

Bravo !!
Well said... It's very clear to everyone that these days they are spamming quite a lot Since 2 month they started sending me unsolicited messages.
They are well known to everyone and wherever you go ( Hosting Directories, Search Engines ) they've bought advertising spaces for $$$. So, what's the point of spamming ??
Geek3 08-21-2002, 02:02 PM ...well, i think iPower with all this $$ flowing around ought to put some of it at least in a support staff (or stronger one for that matter).. hmm
archie2 08-21-2002, 05:35 PM they have the worst support ever, i sent them a pre-sales and I got a response 4 days later!
ForumsAddict 08-21-2002, 05:38 PM If you browse a lot, you may notice that their advertisements are spread all over the internet. It seems they do not leave any chance.....as far as support is concerned, i think its getting out of their hands now...
interactive 08-21-2002, 05:42 PM lol personally i dont like ipowerweb they're jerks IMHO. just my 2 cents though. i had a client who signed up for there like $7.95 service. not to mention their control panel down right sucks no if ands or butts about it
ForumsAddict 08-21-2002, 05:44 PM I hope some IpowerWeb Rep is reading this and would like to explain :)
Maximiliam 08-21-2002, 09:07 PM The story behind Ipowerweb is that they are trying to build a client base big enough, so they can sell the company and cash in.
They have been very successful in getting clients.
DaBoss 08-22-2002, 09:31 AM I hate this company, because they drives the PPC sky high ...
MilkMan 08-22-2002, 09:37 AM Say...what was that advertising page that they were paying big bucks per click? I need to click a few today...
