I am about to sign up for one of these so I can accept credit card payments from around the world. I would just like to know what your experiences are with the two and if I should really venture and pay that extra for worldpay or go with 2checkout...
Your responses are appreciated! :)
Thanks.

Search through the forums, there will definately be many comments on both companies, especially 2Checkout.

We have both, we signed up with Worldpay because it intergrates easily with modernbill. We did hire a scripter todo 2checkout + modernbill he said it would take a week and half nearly ten weeks later we found that he hadn't done it

We use both. They are quite decent. However, if you're looking for multicurrency support, then worldpay is the way to go
cheers!

If you're serious about business... go with WorldPay. But do a search in these forums and you'll see there's already lots of comments about WorldPay and 2CheckOut.

Worldpay is better but they have a 399 setup fee.

The setup fee is slightly different depending on which country you're in. In the USA, the setup fee is $399 and also there's a $50/monthly charge. The transaction charges are:
US$ to US$ and CAN$ to CAN$ - 3.25%
Multi-currency Transactions - 5.25%
Transaction Fee - $0.40
Fraud-detection service (WorldAlert) - $0.10, CA$0.15
It's completely different in the UK though, the fees are much lower, with a setup fee of £75 (~$110) and a yearly charge of £150 (~$225)... and the transaction charges are:
Credit Cards - 4.5%
Debit Cards - 50p
Fraud-detection service (WorldAlert) - 6p
I never knew that the charges were so different between the USA and UK. The setup fee is about 3.5 times more and the monthly charge is 2.5 times more. The transaction charges are slightly more complicated with the USA site, but the percentage charge probably averages out at the end.
So other than the high bandwidth charges in the UK... above is one good reason to be in the UK compared to the USA :).

I work for 2CheckOut as a forum support specialist. Some people berate 2CO and it really annoys me. Granted, we make mistakes and some say more than we should.
But I always try to make sure my customers are happy. I am not always right, and I am constantly reminded of that fact. But I try to provide quality support to my clientbase. If you come on my forum, you will be helped to the best of my abaility. If I cant solve an issue, I'll find someone who can.
Thats all I can do.
