From Atlanta non Cogent:

From Chicago Cogent only:

Josh... where is this server located and what DC is it? I would definately question them and see why it's so slow.

Yeah I thought it was slow. Maybe something to do with 10mbps port. But then again, they say we get 10mbps dedicated port. I will definitely question them about the connection speed.

But I'm 2 hops from you, almost certainly in the same data center.

Actually, I had 66.250.55.160 until last week, when the whole wholesalecolo mess happened.

Who's your provider?

Actually, on a related note, I'd appreciate speed tests to:
http://www.acornhosting.net/uumap.tar.Z

I think my speeds are fine, and if so it might help Josh figure out which router he needs to yell about. :)

Wow, and I'm only seven hops from you. Never got a ping higher than 2ms. something must be up. I'm guessing you're in LayerOne.

Whoa, I've never seen "bad file descriptor" before:

--02:22:49-- http://66.250.55.46/uumap.tar.Z
(try: 5) => `uumap.tar.Z'
Connecting to 66.250.55.46:80... failed: Bad file descriptor.
Retrying.
