Just a small note of thanks to all of you who have made what this forum is. WHT keeps growing and expanding, and so does the no. of people who visit on a constant basis. So far the record for concurrent no. of visitors is 320, and I have little doubt that record will keep going up in the future.
Our userbase has changed over the last few years - originally WHT was intended as a resource for web host users only to comment on their experiences. While this remains the central tenet of WHT (just look at the no. of threads on this in the web hosting forum..!), our userbase has changed significantly to the point where the majority of our users are hosts, here to exchange information, and just as a release point from all of your customers....
(and look for a bit of business of course, but I'll leave that alone ;))
In particular I would like to thank all of the posters who have made an effort to report illegal or dodgy posts to us moderators. This has made our job significantly easier and has helped to keep WHT clean of any major threat of spam, as well as attempting to reduce the no. of flame wars that seem to occur here on WHT. I encourage all of you to keep reporting posts, even if they seem trivial.
I would also like to acknowledge the superhuman work of Chicken boy, who is currently in Connecticut for a wedding (and thus on a well-deserved break). In many a period when he was the only mod operating (with the other 4/5 of us trying to deal with our offline lives) he kept going and kept WHT's standards up. Without him it's doubtful WHT would be what it is today.
Many thanks to xtstrike for his work, and MattF for his former work. Both kunal and teck are still around but have been overloaded with offline lives and I hope to see them back soon.
Finally I would like to acknowledge the work of the Rackshack staff, in particular Robert, Patrick and the others who have kept WHT as independent as possible (true to their word back in April) while enhancing WHT's operational side where possible. Their efforts are much appreciated.
I would encourage all users to keep behaving professionally (and friendly) in future, and to keep inhabiting WHT.
Once again, thank you. Without you, this would not be a community at all.
<end sucky Gwyneth Paltrow speech>
<<Edit: I can't spell Gwyneth's name properly. And I also just noticed that Chicken couldn't stay away from WHT, even across the country....! Get offline you hog! :D>>
