I am trying to set up a reseller account and I can't change prices to anything less than 8.75. I have also set up a test account and can change the prices and make them higher but when I try to lower the prices again I get this...

My TLD prices are set at 7.10.

I get that error message as well. I just ignore it and for some reason when I log in and check again the reseller prices I had set are still there.

ok, I am trying that and I can lower the prices some but I can't get them any lower than $8.30 for the TLD. My rates for the TLD are $7.10. I thought that I should be allowed to set the prices at $7.10 or above.

I guess that makes sense to me. If I did the math correctly, the minimum price you could sell at (using eNom's CC processing would be 8.26:

7.10 + (7.10 * .03) + .95
7.10 + .213 + .95
8.263

or 8.26

Oooooooooh so close! The calculation is:

(((Wholesale Price + $0.95) \ 97) *100)

$7.10 + $0.95 = $8.05
$8.05 \ 97 = 0.0829896
0.0829896 * 100 = $8.29896 ($8.30 rounded up)

eNom won't allow you to take a loss, hence you can't set your price lower than that.

Thank you for explaining that to me. I did get a response back from enom regarding this issue. It basically said the same thing but your answers were far more detailed.

I do have another question that I hope you could answer for me.

I have read most of all the documents posted on the enom web site but I could not find an answer to this. If I apply funds to my account and have a positive balance, can I just sign up for domains and have the amount($7.10) taken out of my account? Also I am not understanding the API system. If I set up my web site to use this API, do I charge what I want for a domain name and bill the customer myself and have the amount taken out of my balance?

When you buy domains from yourself, you must have a balance with eNom. You are simply charged whatever your wholesale rate is for that TLD.

Using the API is the most difficult/time consuming way to sell from eNom (but the most flexable). When you use the API there are two methods for the payment processing.

The first way, you can just use eNom's CC processing. With this methold the customer is billed directly and you get the difference between your wholesale and retail price (your margin) added to your account, less the CC fee.

The second method is to use your own CC processing. In this case you are buying from yourself (at your wholesale rate) and you must have a balance with eNom. You then get whatever the proceeds are from your CC processor.

Using eNom's CC processing will time up less of your money (you don't have to keep a balance) but you won't get your money from eNom for 90 days. Most of the other CC processors will give you the money much quicker.
