Does have anyone using this host?
Harzem 04-14-2008, 01:37 AM I hope nobody does. It is a reseller overseller, looks like a kiddy host, doesn't actually have any company name, domain registered only a few months ago, etc etc.
WireNine 04-14-2008, 03:08 AM Heres a great idea, why even pay $13.95 per month? Find a free provider with unlimited everything, that would be a great plan :)
hostdept-Gabrielle 04-14-2008, 03:46 AM Well, all I can say that it is truly overselling ;) With that price, realistically, you will only get less service than what is offered there :) Better you are with reseller host that has logical price but has great service and is not overselling too much :D
TonyB 04-14-2008, 10:02 AM Besides the unlimited everything they're also using a what looks to be a monster template for the site. Never a good sign when you see these two combinations together.
Toby H 04-14-2008, 11:24 AM Yeah I would stay well clear of that... pretty scary website and the overselling there makes a joke out quality web hosting totally!
dhcart 04-14-2008, 11:49 AM Can anyone provide unlimited disk space or bandwith? Do you believe it? It's impossible of course. These hosts generally have many liminations or unreliable. Read their AUP. Also the price is too cheap as the offer. I recommend go away them. You can find a lot of reliable hosting companies on WHT(look at the signatures and/or read the reviews).
PremiumHost 04-14-2008, 08:39 PM Unlimited storate & bandwidth bundled with unlimited downtime, just joking :D
Your account maybe good at first when the server is empty.
They you get trouble when everyone is filling up the server.
Another scenario, they will kick you out of the server when the usage is too much for $13.95.
ldcdc 04-14-2008, 10:19 PM All the recent talk about unlimited reseller hosting is a bit worrying, mostly because when there are no limits, the reseller is very likely to create a business model that is not viable. Hundreds of resellers with businesses waiting to fail, will mean thousands of end users learning lessons the hard way. That won't be pretty.
Customers paying $14 should expect ~$14 worth of CPU usage to be allowed. That's likely to mean 1/100th or less of a server's computing power. Pretty clearly, pushing unlimited anything will not be possible.
RavenStar 04-16-2008, 12:54 AM As already mentioned, it is in short; bad. That's extreme overselling, there is no such thing as unlimited.
The ToS looks as if it was also stolen from another host and the site is using some cheap template that was probably downloaded.
It really looks suss when in the page source it says "saved from url=(0013)about:internet".
I agree with everyone else that has posted here, steer clear from them.
Jerrod 04-16-2008, 01:06 AM Well for one there is no such thing as unlimited, for two it looks like they tried well on organizing everything, but with those prices i dont see it happening. They have like those three plans and thats it never anything else. And there is no information like every page only list there packages on there website.
There are very few host out there who people will tell you is actually ok to trust on unlimited bandwidth or unlimited space. Very Very Rare/Few. And this host that appeared out of no where is not one of them.
There probably looking for a quick buck more likely than not. I recommend looking for something more reliable and more established.. Good luck on your hunt for a correct host..
Oh and i forgot i was explaining they only have 3 packages, most host have at least 3-4 packages under different category's, not just a set 3 thats on every page of the website. Thats another warning of quick buck scheme.. Again good luck on your hunt!
Unlimited everything is not even allowed in :wht:
So should the link be removed? To prevent unnecessary publicity for them.
Who knows a visitor of :wht: may just get interested in it & signed up? ;)
bdnero 04-16-2008, 12:12 PM I was also little confused with these kind of package.
Now I know this is nothing but overselling.
But what about some popular company's unlimited like offer-
e.g. Hostgator offer 350GB Disk Space for $ 4.95/ month.
Is it really true. How they make it possible. Can anybody give me a little explain.

That is overselling as well, but not as massive as unlimited. ;)
Martie 04-16-2008, 01:39 PM I was also little confused with these kind of package.
offer 350GB Disk Space for $ 4.95/ month.
But who truly needs that much disk space, let alone bandwidth? Its crazy and its not typical "shared" webhosting.

But what happened when some of their client really want to use it. Doesn't they terminate this kind of customer account.
Also HostGator going forward/ bigger company day by day. If their offer doesn't look like typical then whose will be.
bdnero 04-16-2008, 02:05 PM That is overselling as well, but not as massive as unlimited. ;)
But both are fake. One with old style and other with modern style.

They will be suspended if they use too much resource (cpu and ram).

Nice Speech! Brother Ali.
VolkswagenGolfGTI 04-16-2008, 04:36 PM I love the way they specify " 'you must not..' g) Run any gaming servers such as counter-strike, half-life, battlefield1942, etc"
Why name three random games? I believe this could well be a kiddy host where they think they will get far by offering ooooodles of space and b/w for nothing. It's been proved before, any hosting company to be using a monster template is doomed from the off. It's a fact. Ask.. God.

Have to agree with JLHC here, some amazing points mentioned....
it seems loads of people have cottoned on to "no such thing as unlimited now" so people have come up with a thing I call XYZ space with XYZA Bandwidth for $3 - 15.
Im tired of seing providers do this purly because the fact that no one would ever be able to use whats provided to them when they think there getting near it and such a good deal thats it their cut you off purly from what JLHC said. And IMHO it doesnt set a good presence for other web hosting companies, however some are more successful as they have been around for longer, however its the other professional startups that will find it harder due to the crazy companys using the XYZ modern rip you off space scheme.

that nails it on the head, well said.

I think thats just giving members of the public / future clients an example of what a game server is as some people might not know what they mean by game server.
they proberly dont realise why they have used three random games as it appears to more than likely be taken from another website.

You are right there sir. I bet they couldn't recite a sentence from that TOS.
