I am selling a vBulletin Forum Design , including the psd's , images etc will be included , everything to incorporate the design into you forum :)

Many may know custom Layout cost anywhere from 300.00-1000.00 if not more and I feel this was well worth the 300.00 I paid for it or I wouldn't have bought it. The reason I am selling is cause I just don't have the time to invest in the site , due to other obligations.

This design looks the same as http://www.yaxay.com/yack (with a few image modifcations). I realize that yaxay gave away their template, but you're supposed to give him credit... The forums on the other hand look populated esthablished. It looks good, I think they would be worth something. How much you asking for them? Or are you not selling the forums???

I was about to say the same about the similarities between his design and Yaxay.

I think he's only selling the design, not the actual forum.

It looks nothing like Yaxay and I am not here to debate that anyways ;) Yaxay Never gave there design away free also. Yes the forum is pretty poplated only being open for 2 weeks , so it has potential to grow.

I would be willing to sell the forum , for the right price :p
If anyone is serious about buying the complet forum license and all contact me , I am open to reasonable offers.

That was the first thing to cross my mind as well.

Tip: Even if you didn't get "inspired" by it, it's not a good idea to have a design very similar to another website... especially if that other website is much more popular than yours!

Maybe one was inspired by the other, but they have nothing that I can see which is the same.

damn the corey **** suckers exist everywhere. s orry, but that design looks nothing like yaxay. You morons forget that yaxay is pretty much the standard vb set up with graphical enhancements and a welcome panel. Hence, in that respect the designs are similar... but you guys can't possibly be dumb enough to think it's a rip or a look-a-like.

You just changed a few of the images around and put the whose online at the bottom of the page and also, you aint got any hacks that yaxay has... yaxay blows your site away. The fact is... your site uses indentical colors as yaxay and the same buttons as them. He has mentioned that "you" is not phantasywork, he has bought that design from some designer. Just to clear things up, no offence.

feel free to email corey if you like , he has seen this site and said : he seen no similiarities so if the designer of yaxay see none , how can there be any?

And another point BattleForums, if someone started accusing me, you or the next person of ripping a design, then you would take a defensive attitude unless you dont do anything in life except let people walk all over you.

I would not consider his template to be a total rip. Please look up the word "rip" before using it appropriately. ;)

Where is he anyways?

While it's true that everyone's answers may have put him on the defensive, the feeling I got (that was also hinted at by someone else) is that he got ripped off by the guy who sold it to him, and is now trying to make is money back by ripping off someone else (with profits?).

why would he feel ripped off if the designs are not similar?

Well, I, along with a lot of others, feel they are similar.

And personally, I'd feel ripped off if I'd paid what he claims and then stumbled upon yaxay...

I been a member of Yaxay alot longer than I have been a member here , so I don't see how I coulda stumbled upon yaxay and been shocked. If I remember right , corey did some of the coding on this design , with the designer I believe.

The colors aren't the same. The button set is FOR SALE from Yaxay. I own it as well, so if I put it up does it mean that I am ripping his site? Nope, sorry. I spent my $5 and it was sent to me, therefore I am allowed to use it on my forum. He never claimed that his site was "better" than Yaxay.

Come on guys why is there so much hate going on here? I don't think he said that this is THE BEST design or ONE OF A KIND or anything like that he said Forum skin for sale.

I have neve been to the other forum except once when the name got mentioned and I took a quick peek.

I looked at the one here and thought??? I guess yaxay must have changes because his was really different.. So I went and looked and can't even fathom where anyone is saying these are close????? Hell I run a forum and I bought some pre-made buttons for it and no one is saying I ripped them?

Let this guy sell his stuff if he wants.. If you don't want it stay out of it.. this thread is trash now and he is going to have to wait 5 days to try to repost to try again to sell his stuff here just like everyone else has a right to. I think if the person that owns yaxay thinks he has been ripped then they can come post I doubt they need backup from people throwing in their 2 cents.

Nope, it's not a rip or nothign like that, it used the button set (wich is sold to anyone who wishes to buy it), but otherwise I do not see it as a rip or copy.

Sucks seeing my name used in such a way. Especially from a current client.

Most of these people in this thread I do not know, and do not know me Dameon. So they cannot be sucking my **** as you say. I also find it funny that you say that yaxay is standard with graphical enhancements and welcome panel. Considering yaxay has never used the welcome panel hack ever.

Now what I will say is this. This is not a rip, nor is it a copy. It has similar colors and the button set I created. Thats it. To call it a rip or a copy is truly unfair. To say it was inspired is more fair and even that is all just assumption. I cannot copyright a color scheme, nor a way of laying a forum out. And I do not pretend I can do so.

In closing, no its not a rip or a copy. But Ice, I think the problem is your posts are rude, and very immature. Just go at this with a clean maturity and state your case. People will be more willing to accept it then someone calling them *********** within the first sentence.

Now I hope people can understand why I got so defensive , cause it's clear the current owner and the designer and former owner of yaxay have spoken.

It's pretty sad a few people had to bash my thread and now my chance of selling are pretty much gone , and I guess I might have to suck it up and lose the money I spent all because some people are sooo blind.

I am glad too , but I bet one thing you won't see those people who accused me of ripping appologizing for running there mouth's now will we ?:eek:

I stand by my words... why would I apologize to you? If words bother you that much, then fine, your design isn't "ripped off" from yaxay... it's just "inspired". There, does that make you feel better? Either way, the fact remains, when many people go to your site, they automatically think "yaxay" and that's the bottom line.

I hear what you're saying Corey, but when you see EVERYONE saying that EVERYTHING looks like yaxay it gets a bit old after a while. You know what I mean? You remember how bad it was in the rips forum that yaxay use to have, which is why I believe you deleted that forum altogether because people were saying that everything was a rip.

I don't mean any disrespect when I said what I said, it was a lot of steam being let go.

And about the welcome panel comment I know it's not a hack, just resembles one I guess the top portion is a "panel" if you get what i'm saying.

Nothing like Yaxay, not one bit. If the grey colour was changed in the background then it would be a total different forum.

There are a few members on this forum who take great pride in slagging off other peoples work.

Good on you M8 for designing a forum look that unique BUT i would change the grey background cos thats the only thing thats the same as Yaxay.

I think anybody purchasing the forum wil be able to refer to this thread and the Yaxay site and come to their own conclusions.
