I'm designing a site, and I was wondering if you all could help me. I don't want to run a full content managed site, but there are a few features that I would need.

I am looking something where I can post news to either a news page or the front page. This will need to be updated by certain users that I would specify. PHPNuke has something like this, but as I said, I don't want the full Nuke Package. Basically something like EzPublish's article's feature, except it would display news only, published by specific users.

Secondly, what is the best PHP/MySQL chat room? This site will require a fast and small chat room, something that won't boot users off of. I have a great host, so the hosting is not the issue, but bandwith is, so if it is going to eat a lot of bandwith, then I'll probably scrap the chat. There will most likely be several hundred users to this site weekly.
