Hello,

I am thinking about going with them, any comments?

I want a full managed server - is that where to go?

I am not sure I would call it a fully managed server. I suppose that definitions of that service vary. Examples of support they offer.

They will upgrade the kernels as required
They will assist you in fixing problems as they occur

However,

They will not install things on the server without charging extra.

In the above search you will find a lot of good and bad things about Nocster. Most of the bad issues are things like connectivity problems etc. You might also want to run a search on the parent company BurstNET.

I've said it before. I'll say it again. I use them. And I like them. Not only that, but I have absolutly no reservations about recommending them.
They manage what comes on the server. And quite a lot comes on the server.

Their network is pretty crappy at times. I've lost count of how many times I've called them thinking the server was down when in fact I was just getting 100% packet loss due to their network being flooded, or problems with their line, or other such excuses.

Other than that they're pretty good.

We're not getting any more servers from them because of the network stuff, but I wouldn't say Nocster is a terrible choice. They're pretty cheap, too.

I've not used Burst, but there are other places that offer managed deds. Jay & Co at mehost have some limited new boxes available, per their post at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=66894

Might be something to check out as you look around.

Sorry Annette,

Checked the rules lately? :D

"Participants who are associated with a web hosting company may not use the main Forums to direct others to the advertising Forums"

I know you are a stickler for them :D

Thought I'd add this one too. since it seemed relevant :D

"Participants may not use discussions to recommend or praise other product or services, or any company, unless you have directly used them before. This includes companies recommending other companies."

So have you used their services at mehost?

:D
