Anyone ever attempted to install dsl on linux with a speedtouch usb modem? im finding it to be difficult

Is there even a driver for the modem? Does the modem have an ethernet port?

yea theres a driver for it but requires a lot of configuring to get it to work

Sometimes just installing roaring penguin can be time consuming, but not necessarily difficult. PPPOE sucks.

im finding that out real quick. I got my dial up modem to work then it just quit working. it sees the modem but i need to install the network adapter, im having a heck of a time figuring it out. i got roaring installed but without the network drivers nothing works

Luckily my cable modem at home supports USB and ethernet.
