I remember reading a pretty large thread about the pros and cons of this sort of domain.
Why someone would want a domain no-one can reach without a plugin is beyond me. If they take off, all fine and good. I for one, won't be jumping on that bandwagon.

http://www.new.net is essentially doing the same - but since they're a bigger, badder company they can get more people and isps to use their software ... but indeed, especially foreign people will have no access to your domain in such cases ...

And thats where their downfall will come in to play:
1. Most people are not going to install a plug in on their machine.
2. That plugin needs to be reloaded on operating system and browser upgrades.
3. The hacking community may have a field day with blocking new.net addresses as well as .com, .net, .org once this plugin is disassembled.
CreditApproval.tv will be:
1. Marketed strongly to people in need of credit:
2. Accessable to everyone worldwide with no restrictions and no plugin required.
2. Offer real value over search engine technology, could quite possibly be a replacement for those dusty old engines (20 year old technology that is over taxed with smut and links that are not relevant to the search).
Thanks for your reply!
And one more thing, many of our registrations are coming from outside the USA.

This was never really answered at Site Point so maybe you could help here.
What happens if ICANN ever decides to use the extensions all you guys are using? Do the people who've 'registered' them lose out? Or will you pay for their official registration?
Greg Moore
Personally, I would not recommend getting a new TLD that is not approved or supported by ICANN. Simply because A) it will not be 100% compatible with every internet server or client, B) it will cause major conflicts if ICANN releases that TLD, and C) it can just be a scam.
Already, companies are cashing in on pre-registration for the supposed new TLD's. If you read the fine print, it says they don't guarentee anything nor do they offer any sort of refund if they can't register the domain.
As far as new.net they look very promising. But as I stated, there is no way they will ever be 100% compatible with all clients and servers out there on the net
I really don't like the way ICANN is handling things, but at the moment they run the show :(

The largest credit information site on the internet, and having a unigue name on a service like that could be important to most, ever look for a credit card on a major search engine, you turn up 100's of links offering credit and taking you to xxx sites.
There is value in this offering, if icann rolls out the same tld(s) that the other service is offering...those domains could become worthless because the plug in may not be an effective router after, where CreditApproval.tv will survive in its privatized environment of offering credit services to the world, not just the users with the plugins installed!
Our product is not a sub domain for a .net address.
Thanks for your time.
Your input is appreciated, please stay tuned to our continued growth and reputable support and service.
