I'm wondering if anyone could share some good hosts for hosting sites that are relatively resource intensive (ie: a few thousand visitors daily), based on actual experience. Many hosts may appear to be similar on paper, but differ greatly in how accommodating they are of resource usage of their customers (not counting bandwidth).

I understand such hosts are generally more expensive. One example is Futurequest.net. Any others?

www.site5.com is apparently very good with resource intensive sites, other than that you might think about a server

if you're looking for something higher end, you can try www.adehost.com. they specialize in resource intensive sites, though their prices are slightly higher
