Im looking for people with the now how to custom build servers. Also i need someone who is capable of getting wholesale pricing on parts in order to keep my costs down.. for example if you build servers and have extra parts and could put one together.. im not looking for retail solution...

Looking for the following specs, if you can build let me have your best offer...

FreeBSD OS
Dual Xeon 1.4ghz proc.
1.5BG ecc RAM
2-3 120GB HD's, prefer western digital with max rpm possible
RAID Solution of some type,

I will need anywhere from 2-10 of these within this year. I will purchase one from you at half price and test for 10days, if after the burn it is to my liking i will pay additional 50% and order additional machines per purchase, i must be allowed to test each for a period of 5-10 days.

Any one interested?????
My email is jdp29053@yahoo.com

Please do not reply if you are unexperienced, i need serious offers from people that are capable of results.

So you're telling people to sell you a machine that you will pay only 50% first and want to grab the machine and test it for 5-10 days before paying for another 50%?

Gee that doesn't seem right....

For person to person that is acceptable if not, no skin off my back i will find someone else.

Im not going to pay 100% upfront for a server to any that replies to a thread, for all i know you could send me an empy server case. It would be contracted of course and if the person as refrences then of course this would be unneccessary:)

thanks

Well...................................Ya, same for everybody else.

Im not going to pay 100% upfront for a server to any that replies to a thread, for all i know you could send me an empy server case. It would be contracted of course and if the person as refrences then of course this would be unneccessary

For all we know, you could send the person a check that bounces or pull a chargeback. For all we know, you could send them a empty package.

See how the roles are twisted here?

Why don't you just buy from a reptuable rackmount provider? They will send you a full case. If you don't "like it", well.. tough ****. You shouldn't buy something you think that "you won't like".

If someone rips you off too much money, then surely you would go to their house to get it back?

I don't think anyone could get away with it unless you used paypal to pay or something like that, and even then its unlikely.

Just make sure you deal with someone in the same country or something.

Um.... for anyone to give you a server for 5-10 days on a trial basis is very risky..... for the server your talking about thats roughly 1,000 dollars........

Of course I highly doubt your going to find anyone here who has that good of bulk discount connections unless you find a datacenter who builds their own boxes thats willing to build them for you.....

Also, you *REALLY* need to be more specific on the cpu's considering a

XEON MP-1.4GHZ 512K CACHE MPGA603 400MHZ FSB retails for around 1200.... so for a system with 2400 worth of cpu's alone I don't think your gunna find many people who will let you only pay for half of it, your better off building it yourself....

Im sorry but this type of industry simply isn't a try it before you buy it type deal.

DanielP... why are the Xeon MP processors so much more expensive than he non MP processors?
