View Full Version : Template sought... Plus ongoing arrangement!
IainB 08-20-2002, 05:35 AM Hi all!
I've been lurking around for quite a while, and have now come to join in the fun of WHT!
I'm about to progress onto a dedicated server, and setup my operation properly. I originally started off on a couple of reseller accounts as they offered me more flexibility for personal sites, and have now ended up hosting a few sites and need to expand and start doing things properly! :-)
So, dedicated server ordered, I need a hosting template. Something professional and clean - but also appealing to individuals and SMEs alike. I'm willing to pay up to $50.
The second request I have is for someone to "come on board" if you like - someone I can pass requests of my customers through to. I'd like to offer this as a service from my hosting company, so the customer only has one company to deal with. The designeer would provide the templates, and if the customer required myself and in-house staff would provide the rest of the site design (adding customers content, back-end scripting, databases, etc.). We're techies really, and not too good at the design side hence the need for external help on the templates!
The designer in any on-going agreement would, naturally, be credited and recognised as such.
Phew!!! Anyone willing to help?!?!
Cheers,
Iain B

Not for a mere $50
webarama 08-20-2002, 06:07 AM There aren't many online right now, maybe give it a few hours until everyone comes on, then I'm sure you'll get a few offers.
IainB 08-20-2002, 06:08 AM Mark... That's fair enough.... Then name your prices...
I've picked up $50 from the various templates being offered here. Many start auctioning at lower, with buyouts at $50. Also, many have been offered by designers at $30 - $50. It just seems to be around about "the going rate."
markcastle 08-20-2002, 06:11 AM Yeh - fairplay (if you live in India for example). I made a template the other day and spent 4 hours on it - was just thinking hmmm $12.50 an hour - would rather not. Good luck with your search though.
IainB 08-20-2002, 06:11 AM Dave....
Yup... 'Tis still pretty early in the States I guess! Almost afternoon over here, the other side of the pond.
Cheers,
Iain B
webarama 08-20-2002, 06:14 AM And early evening here in Australia :)
Bannaz 08-20-2002, 06:15 AM We have a promotion, check out the top thead on this board, for just $60 we will design you a custom made template.
Get in contact and I will show you some examples of work I have done for people with this promotion. You'll be amazed with the quality and the pricing. :)
IainB 08-20-2002, 06:16 AM Mark.... That's a fair one!
I'm open to offers, and am willing to pay more if that's required. At the end of the day, I'm looking for a quality design to reflect a high quality of hosting, support and service which will be provided.
So, I am open to discussion! I have already got more work lined up to put someones way too. It doesn't have to be the template designer of my website, but for me it does have an added bonus as my customers will be able to see a very real example at work.
Cheers,
Bukey
Bannaz 08-20-2002, 06:19 AM We sent you an e-mail. :) We are prompt and ready to work.
IainB 08-20-2002, 06:25 AM Chewnet - mail responded to! Thanks!

Bannaz 08-20-2002, 06:31 AM No probelm. :)
I worked 20 hours on my last design :)
so iam not even thinking of what i was getting an hour.
I do this stuff for fun, fore educational progress and especially for my portfolio. That's why i only make custom designs. I want a design to fit the company and the owner and be original.
Bannaz 08-20-2002, 06:47 AM Thats too true ic3d, you have to enjoy your work to be able to produce something special. The last design I did took me 9hrs, from 9am - 6am, with little breaks in between. But I do this work as a job, still doesn't mean I don't do it for enjoyment purposes though. :)
Yes, i will make this my job in a year from now when i will have my degree. So in the meantime iam working my ass off for a nice portfolio.
And i never saw u overpricing :)
Bannaz 08-20-2002, 07:10 AM Nope, we make it our humble deal to keep our prices low as thats what our clients like best, not only the quality of designs. There is no need to push up prices sky high just because you do it for a living. Aslong as your work is great, then you will have enough clients to produce the income. :)
