I want to begin a Teen Forum project, and I have purchased a few domains, (more or less the same) :
theteencentre.org
theteencentre.com
and , theteencenter.netWhich one do you think would be the most benefitial-SEO friendly to use as my main one ? (the rest will be redirected)
on google , center gets more results than centre , but I do happen to have centre.com one , which might get more attention...hmmm....

I agree. The .COM is much preferred over the others. It is the default fill-in on most browsers.

Best,

Toria

SEO-wise. It make no difference. But for type-ins best to use the .com and redirect the other domains to the .com

I agree with everyone else. One thing to consider, though: will your target demographic be spelling the name as "center" or "centre"? Are you targeting teens worldwide or those that are local to you? If you tell an American verbally to go to The Teen Center, I'm going to type in center. An English or Canadian (or Australian, etc.) person would type in centre.

If most of your visitors will use the same spelling, then you're fine.

I am in the same dilemma as you.
I own *centre.com and *center.net, no clue which one to use :D
If it helps I will most likely go with .com because .com > center most likely.

com is the choice but I would think about the common misspelling issues

Let me answer the question of the OP by posting the domain order by popularity:

.com
.net
.org
.info
.biz
.us (country domain extensions)

No doubt about it, the dot com is the winner!

My personal preference would be .com, .net, .biz, .info, .org in that order.

I always prefer .biz over .info & .org, except for non-profit organisations.
