(yes, im a newbie at this)
i recently got a webhost and a domain, but they dont offer smtp servers and plus im with a free internet provider (with no smtp servers either). i just want to know how i can send emails under my domain name and receive them too.
thx, bryant
DO they give pop email? If they do, then you are halfway there. The only other thing you need to do is in the reply-to field, type your email@yourdomain.com and that should do it.
A lot of ISPs require you to use their mail server for sending mail (restricting port 25) because of SPAM. It really is the preferred way as well.

I think what you are looking for is either:
1. A third party SMTP service like gmx.net (? url)
I believe you can also send from other addresses
if you have Hotmail configured under Outlook Express 5
2. An smtp server running on your own machine
(see argosoft.com for a free one)
This may prevent your mail getting to certain
ISP's (e.g. AOL)
3. A webmail service that lets you send from your
domain based e-mail Try Mail2Web.Com

if they are providing pop3 accounts, then just go to altavista, and search for a "free smtp", put it into your mail client, put your pop3 account there too, and you're done.
