View Full Version : Host With Web Based Mail

I've done multiple searches on this topic, but lately I can't get the search function on this site to return relevant results. Don't recall it always having been like that.

Looking for a host for a small site, focusing mostly on mail. Looking for a host with multiple POP, including a web based mail package. As well as retrieving from the "home" computer, they want to be able to access mail remotely from any system. I realize this can be done using Yahoo or other free services, but who wants Yahoo's signature on serious mail?

Yadnum offers a web based mail service with their packages, and their packages are very reasonable, but their web based mail shows a return address of "otherserver.net for yourdomain.com"

Anyone know other hosts with mail packages that would meet these requirements? Any other ideas?

Hi there,

I know that my Ventures Online http://www.venturesonline.com accounts all have NeoMail, a web-based e-mail client, which is included in the CPanel package.

You can turn off the promotional signature, or better yet, stick in your own. :)

And I believe all of VO's accounts have multiple POP, the V2 and V3 packages have 25 and 50 respectively; you can buy more if you need them.

Hello
All the Alabanza based hosts have webmail now.

Here's the cut and paste html you would need in order to put a log in box on the front page of your website:
http://hostroute.com/support2/webmail.html

Having said that, we don't do Alabanza anymore and have gone the Neomail route (as above) but the code might be useful to someone who reads this thread!

I haven't used http://www.adgrafix.com in awhile, but I was impressed with their e-mail services. Your smtp and pop server name is the same as your domain name. If I recall, you can configure the size of each e-mail account, but I could be wrong.

VDI hosts can provide web based email since it is included
in the control panel they provide.

There are several free web based email interfaces other than neomail. You can probably ask individual hosts if they would install the one you like. I see no reason why one wouldn't.

Most of the VDI based hosts have web based E-Mail.

You could also probably E-Mail a host and see if they could install it for you, I'm sure most would. :)

Hi. Almost all hosting companies offer some sort of web based email services. I recommend you search for a hosting company who's features you like. Then email them and as them if they offer web based email services or not.

Although some hosts are slower then others on enabling new services, I'm sure you can find some good reliable hosts in this forum. Also, you may want to take a peak at the advertising forums here.

You guys are forgeting what the person is asking about...

They want the web based mail that does NOT have the server name in the headers. Unfortunately, the VDI based servers have the machine name in the mail header.

When you email with webmail through that neomail program, it shows the machine name to who gets it. Plenty of our customers have asked us to find a way around that.

In this case, the person needs the adgraphix, or perhaps install their own version of mailman in their site.

oh! I see. I think these headers are not added by neomail though, but by exim. So even if you install your own version of neomail you'd probably still get those same lines.

Check your email please humorthem. I just tested out my webmail interface and it doesn't have the problem your talking about.

Alternatively you just may go with any web hosting, that has correctly configured MTA (i mean, it shows yourdomain.com in the message headers as an originating host), and install some third-party webmail software there. I would recommend you to grab a latest version of Popper ( http://ractive.ch/popper ) and customize it. Though it is req. PHP+MySQL, it worth 'em! ;)
