Hi All,
I was a member here back in 2002 and now I'm back. Like before, I am mainly interested in comparing website layouts - what works and what doesn't. Back in 2002, my website was mainly game-based and now I have completed a science fiction novel (very loosely based on the game) that I am trying to show off on my website. The book is on Amazon but most of the buyers are learning about it from my site. I received some excellent comments from members six years ago and hope to repeat that now. Being a website developer myself for over 15 years (since the early days of the WWW) I hope I can offer my advice to others in return. Also, I plan to migrate to a better web-hosting service later this year, so advice from others on that subject will be most welcomed.

Nice to be back...
Joseph Rhea

Hello JosephRhea, welcome. Enjoy your visits. :wht:

A couple points of interest are the forum guidelines (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/rules.php) and this answer guide (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=585586).

The domain name/site appraisals is a good place to get some feedback on the sites layout, I have found. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=54

You'll get some good constructive opinions if the site could use some tweaks for sure. If you aren't in a hurry to switch webhosts, I'd keep my eyes open on the WHT offers section too for some special pricing as well as opions of current hosts service levels. Things have most definately shifted as far as who is the best and biggest host since 2002. Welcome Back Mister Kot-ter.

Thanks for the welcome back, everyone.

The book's title is "Cyberdrome" and you can find in searching Amazon. I don't think I can post my website URL yet - something I read in the rules about new members waiting 10 days and 7 posts or something similar. I'm not new, but I think the rules still apply to me... I will post it later in the proper thread.

Thanks again.
Joe
