Guys, after u've renamed htaccess.txt to .htaccess it, dissapears from the folder. Where did it go? How do u delete it. By the way, the folder could not be deleted using ftp but is possible using telnet. It it safe to delete via telnet?
Thanks

You won't be able to see the folder via FTP but can via telnet. And, yes, it is safe to delete the .htaccess file.

Are we talking about folders or files???
If you can't delete a folder than you created the folder under a different user name than (or the server did, I really don't know what folder you are talking about). You simply don't have permission to delete it. This can be changed, etc...
Re: the mysterious disappearing .htaccess, it is there, you just can't see it. You can't see any files that begin with a "." unless you set the Remote File Mask to -a in your FTP client. Once you do this, you'll be able to see the hidden files (such as .htaccess files).
