View Full Version :  An unasnwered question about ResellerClub
zerocoder 04-02-2008, 12:01 AM I currently have around 10 domains taken from a reseller of ResellerClub. I am planning to take WHMCS and they offer Directi domain reseller account. I want to transfer all my domains and customers to this reseller account. However I have doubts that this would be done free of charge. And also to which reseller should I approach to transfer these domains. ResellerClub, WHMCS or my current reseller. Thanx a lot for good guidance.
RajanUrs 04-02-2008, 01:23 AM You can push/move domains to another account within the same registrar for free.

If your reseller wasn't one of the first resellers that works with no problem.
I also would suggest you to open your own reseller account and not take the sub-reseller account from WHMCS. With the sub-account you get a little bit better pricing in the beginning but you can never reach the best prices. So I think it's work to pay a little bit more with having the chances to get the best prices reseller club offers later.
zerocoder 04-02-2008, 02:36 AM any better details? thanx for replies.
gate2vn 04-02-2008, 09:25 AM search their KB about "Move services"
GulfamNET 04-02-2008, 11:58 AM Getting an account for 10 domains is not a good action at resellerclub. They offer a price of $8.99 per domain if you deposit $199. WHMCS prices for ResellerClub account are also higher. I can help you to get a ResellerClub account at lower prices. Feel free to send me PM.
Woooo 04-02-2008, 02:17 PM the good pricing starts from slab2, wait till u have total billing of $500

Shouldn't registrar mean reseller network? I have domains in ResellerClub accounts which I can't push to other ResellerClub accounts because they are not under the same reseller network.

That is exactly what i doubt.

Any error message? We got domains from other reseller accounts without any difficulty.
Only if they're under the same (master) reseller network.
gate2vn 04-02-2008, 10:44 PM what do you mean when saying under the same master reseller network? We are a direct customer of ResellerClub (in fact, we do business with DirectI, before they unveil ResellerClub brand). We can get domains from other customers of ResellerClub without any trouble. Can you explain more details what you mean?
zerocoder 04-02-2008, 11:51 PM This is how this network is formed:
1.Reseller Club >> My Reseller Host >> My Reseller account
In case of WHMCS:
2.Reseller Club >> WHMCS Domain Reseller
So how can i moved from Reseller Network 1 to 2.
gate2vn 04-02-2008, 11:55 PM Just pay attention that you cannot move domains from a reseller account to another reseller account, but you can move domains from a customer account to another.
So, in reseller 2, create a customer account, then login customer account in reseller 1, using "Move services" feature to move domains to customer account in reseller-2. I believe it will be fine.
zerocoder 04-03-2008, 12:06 AM hey guys,
it works. even if its not in the same reseller network, ResellerClub has unique customer IDs, so I can move domains without any problem or cost. at last this mystery is solved.
so despite your relation with you and Reseller Club or your new reseller account it works.
I have accounts with these resellers...
ANSWERABLE.COM
ELB.COM
ESTDOMAINS.COM
URANGE.COM
DOMAINCENTRAL.COM
The reason I have so many accounts is because when I bought domains from the owner, the seller couldn't push the domain into my existing reseller account.
gate2vn 04-03-2008, 06:40 AM Again, there is no reason for that. You should ask the owner why he could not do it, or error message if he has. It would be much better to know the issue then

Answerable.com are now an ICANN registrar so you may not be able to push/move domains if they are under (and registered with) their registrar credentials, rather than RC.
In this instance you would have to transfer, so $$$'s needed.

so Answerable are not directi?
so Answerable are not directi?
They're the retail arm of Directi. You can't push between Answerable<>ResellerClub.
If you don't need the resell option, they give competitive prices.
I have accounts with these resellers...
ESTDOMAINS.COM
EstDomains are not a reseller, they are ICANN accredited and just use the LogicBoxes software.
OK. Thanks. What about the others? Are they all Reseller Club resellers?
netearth 04-06-2008, 06:13 PM We aren't an RC reseller either!
steventay 04-06-2008, 09:04 PM is domaincentral.com directi ?
OK. Thanks. What about the others? Are they all Reseller Club resellers?
The others are as far as I'm aware of (just check the whois when you have domains with them).
is domaincentral.com directi ?
According to reports of people having domains with them domaincentral are a reseller of directi/resellerclub
steventay 04-07-2008, 02:58 AM this domain under domaincentral, it say "Registrar: AUSTRALIAN STYLE PTY LTD"

Australian Style Pty Ltd dba auCLUB is on list of ICANN Accredited registrars
Australian Style Pty Ltd dba auCLUB is linked to auclub.net which redirects to domaincentral.com.au
domaincentral.com.au has the same logo as domaincentral.com
And domaincentral.com.au has the ICANN Accredited logo
I guess that rules out domaincentral.com are resellers of ResellerClub.

Vicky: Welcome to Domain Central Live Chat Service. How may I assist you today?
you: Hi, is domaincentral.com owned by DomainCentral.Com.au ?
Vicky: Hi
Vicky: It is sister concern
you: Are you reseller of ResellerClub.com ?
Vicky: No
.....
netearth 04-07-2008, 06:41 AM domaincentral.com is using the orderbox from just the straight look of it, but, it doesnt show on site an ICANN registrar logo. So it could still be a reseller of RC services, hosting email etc.
If you do a whois, it goes to bottledomains.com.au, which if you do a look at the contact us, its the same address as domaincentral.com.au. (look at their site too).
so I would presume, that domainscentral.com isnt an ICANN registrar, its a trading name or something of bottledomains.com.au who is an ICANN registrar, either that or intertwined with domaincentral.com.au
So you may well find that both are linked or owned by the same person/persons.

Hi RajanUrs,
I think she is telling porkies ;) If you go to the domaincentral.com site and click Linux Hosting, then demo or windows hosting and then demo, funnily enough, you get the RC demo ;)
Same for SiteBuilder, same for Reseller link at the top, and also for the email.

Maybe they resell the OrderBoxes products except the domain registration.
As RajanUrs pointed out by the whois it the domaisn go to there ICANN accreditation.
A while back stu showed in an other thread that a domaincentral.com registrations was under the DirectI accreditation. Maybe they mix a little bit....
ebay-nut 04-07-2008, 08:25 PM I too think that is how it is in ResellerClub.
By the way a reseller cannot even register a domain under the reseller account. It has be registered for customer account only.
So you simply create a Customer account under the reseller.
But what if you don't want to be under that reseller?
ebay-nut 04-07-2008, 09:11 PM But what if you don't want to be under that reseller?
I'm talking about creating a customer account from your own reseller account. I guess if you don't trust yourself, don't do it.
RajanUrs 04-07-2008, 10:59 PM So you simply create a Customer account under the reseller.
Yes the reseller can create a customer account for self.
