YEP! universal2001 08-19-2002, 11:41 PM if you want popularity, just offer your plans @ $3/year for 10gb/bandwidth.. u should be able to get lots of customers in a short period of time. lol Aussie Bob 08-19-2002, 11:43 PM Originally posted by universal2001 if you want popularity, just offer your plans @ $3/year for 10gb/bandwidth.. u should be able to get lots of customers in a short period of time. lol Recipe for nice stable servers there. :stickout eweber 08-19-2002, 11:49 PM I think most serious shoppers would stay away from a Web Host that offers plans at $3 per year with 10GB of bandwidth simply because that type of Web Host usually won't be around for very long. archie2 08-20-2002, 12:09 AM Be nice to your customers :) coight 08-20-2002, 01:36 AM Originally posted by eweber I think most serious shoppers would stay away from a Web Host that offers plans at $3 per year with 10GB of bandwidth simply because that type of Web Host usually won't be around for very long. I firmly believe in being honest, and think 99.999% of hosts miss the boat on that one alone. I can't help but wonder though if honesty really helps you be successful, or is it more the "perceived appearance" of being honest. I see very successful companies that are very dishonest that are extremely successful. Specifically, in the hosting business, we all know of some very successful hosts that have been around for awhile, that aren't honest (I won't mention names). Servstra-Sales 08-20-2002, 04:21 AM I personally believe that if you provide superior customer service and have a solid product, you are well on your way to success. It just takes time and generally won't happen overnight. You also have have the mentality of being in it for the long haul and not in it just to make a quick buck. If the quick buck is your sole motiviation, then I'd advise getting out, quickly. Why not? chrisb 08-20-2002, 04:34 AM Originally posted by Aussie Bob Why not? Here's one. I'll give you a hint... it resembles "See Eye Most" Deb 08-20-2002, 02:12 PM Originally posted by chrisb I firmly believe in being honest, and think 99.999% of hosts miss the boat on that one alone. There's more than one way to grow... and I believe many of the 'dishonest' hosts that have shown this ability show it through a large marketing fund account... If you have a large sum of money to spend then there are many 'easier' ways to make it happen... however, if you're like many of us on these forums, who begin on limited funds, then an 'honest service at an honest price' is the way to go. There is a huge market out there that can and does notice this...that's who you target. |
