We just added a dedicated IP for a client in WHM who requested SSL.

Clients domain is currently pointed to our default nameservers.

Does an additional nameserver need to be created for the new dedicated IP and the clients nameservers updated to point to the new nameserver at registar?

Or is it simply enough to update the IP in WHM and leave the nameservers as is?

Very basic question, I realize, but our sites are all informati9onal so we haven't done any ecommerce on our Linux server until now...

Is your customer a reseller with custom DNS? Or are you just setting up an SSL certificate for him/her? If that's the case as far as I know there shouldn't be any messing about with the nameservers, just adding the IP and then linking the SSL certificate to it.
