View Full Version : Places that sell unmetered hosting? (like 1-2Mbps?)

After seeing hostmanias 3Mbps offer, I was just curious if there are other companies that have this practice. I would feel a lot more confident if I had a capped connection than having only so much bandwidth avaiable to me.

I don't see my servers ever going above 2Mbps anyway. Ideas? Places? Prices?

Yeah :bawling:

I know most of the hosts that offer 10Mbps, but I'm more interested in a 1-3Mbps capped connection because that is all the bandwidth I will ever need and I simply can't afford 10Mbps at this time ;)

eServers.biz has 500GB bandwidth burstable, so it's approximately 1.5mbps

I doubt they cap it. That is probably just your tiered pricing. Instead of labeling it 600 GBs of transfer, they call it 2 Megs. So if you look at it this way, many places offer lower limits.

I would ask if it is truly capped at 1 or 2 Megs.

I would go with FDC if I was certain about the stability and consistency of their network ...

In terms of hostmania, well ... that's self-explanatory. I tend not to go with a new company until they have established themselves and there are enough +/- reviews to make a decision.

If eservers.biz would offer me a capped connection, I would go for it. I don't guess it wouldn't hurt, you know ... What's the difference between a burstable 500 gigs and a capped 1-2Mbps guaranteed line? Probably overselling, but bleh :P

Maybe I should post in the offers forum and see if I get any results.

Well, someone has to try them out first. As said before, when their client base is small, they may dedicate more time to helping your needs.

dedicate more time but they'll have less staff surely? :p

I just don't want to be sitting around waiting for a server like everyone is right now

Yes, I'm used to the instant setup that Rackshack has, but I don't have a problem waiting 1 week for a server. Though more than that and my customers will start demanding things. I'm pretty patient with my needs, but my customers supercede what I think all the time :o
