Are 1AND1 transfers currently free? I transferred a .COM domain to 1AND1 about a week ago and I have never been billed for it.

I emailed their support team today and this was the half-understandable response I received:

Thank you for contacting us.

There will be no transfer costs. Another year will be added to the registration of the domain and will register the domain until you tell us to cancel this.
Also, we won?t charge you your included domains for as long as you have your shared hosting package with us. Please open this link below.
